What is a notarial act?
AccuCheck Notary Services has the power to perform the following acts:
1. Take acknowledgements - the notary section in your document will generally state, "acknowledged before me..."
2. Administer oaths and affirmations -Â the notary section in your document will generally state, "subscribed and sworn before me..." or "being duly sworn under oath and deposed...
3. Certify copy of a document(s) except vital records or court records, we review the original document then make the copy or watch you make the copy
4. Certify affidavits and depositions
5. Verification of fact as it pertains to identity or access authorization to a building, physical site, database, network
6. Other acts as may be specifically permitted by law.
My document does not have a notary section or it does not specify any general notarial verbiage, can you still notarize?
Yes. You will need to contact the document originator and ask what type of notarial act is required or if you are knowledgeable, you can tell us what you need.
We cannot choose a notary act for you. We will attach a loose certificate of the notary act you chose and staple it to your document.
What do I need to have at the notary appointment?
You must have a valid, unexpired government issued ID with photograph and you must be competent and willing to sign your document of your own free will.
Does Accucheck Notary Services perform remote online notarizations?
No. At this time we are not commissioned as electronic notaries to perform this service. However, we can put you in touch with a notary who does.
